1000s of Royalty Free Images for Nothing? Really?

I stumbled across Pixabay about 6 months ago and signed up for a free account when I was searching for a few images for my website.  The site is so easy to use and gives you access to thousands of amazing photographs and images in loads of different categories.

All you have to do is upload some of your own photos that you’re willing to share with others so that you can have access to the huge selection available from other Pixabay users.

Top 10 Tips To Build Your Facebook Fan Page Audience

If you are struggling to build a following on Facebook, you can double your presence by using a Fan Page and connect with more people who matter to you. It’s free and easy to set up.

Just click on the small arrow to the left of the help icon on the toolbar at the top of your Facebook page, then choose a Page type to get started.

There are 6 different page types including Local Business, Company or Organisation, Brand or Product, and others.  Select the one most appropriate to the subject you will be promoting.  After selecting the page type you will be asked to provide additional information such as Category, Company Name, etc.

So, you’ve set up your page – good work!

The following 10 tips should help build a tribe of followers who will hopefully buy from you as you feed them compelling content and irresistible offers.

1. Create a Sign Up button on your fan page for opt-in to your list.  You can then send follow up emails to give them more information and sell them other products.

2. Post a handful of posts on your page before making the page public so that nobody arrives for the first time thinking they’re all alone.
3. Create at least one piece of content which is shareable to spread your presence across Facebook

4. Invite all of your FB profile friends to like your page to increase the size of your page community

5. Post consistently to your page once it is live to help build engagement over time

6. Aim for at least 4 posts daily because it is likely your fans will be lucky to see 1 of them each day

7. If you have multiple fan pages in the same niche you should collaborate between them, ie, every 6 – 9 posts, share a piece of content from one of your other pages

8. Turn your fans into customers – use your Sign Up button to attract leads

9. Post images that are eye catching, crisp and evoke emotion

10. Post content which your audience can relate to in order to extend your reach to as many people as possible

Super Effective Webinar Tip For Selling Products Fast

I attended an amazing webinar last night hosted by John Thornhill and featuring Michael Cheney.  The content of the webinar was awesome and culminated in a well deserved, and not unexpected pitch for Michael’s latest offering.  Purchasing the product was a complete no-brainer, but the clincher was the fact that John made a fast action bonus offer I couldn’t refuse during the last 20 minutes of the webinar.

The content was over, the offer from Michael was clear, and the bonuses added by John were really great compliments to the overall package.  Then, the clincher was revealed.  John offered a Live Action Takers bonus.  If I signed up to the already fantastic product package before the 20 minute timer reached zero, I would get some frankly unbelievable additional bonuses.  I couldn’t get my credit card out fast enough – even though it was almost 01:00 am!  Without this ‘convincer’ I’m fairly sure I would have waited until the morning and mulled over the idea of buying – possibly resulting in a decision not to buy.

Do the unexpected.  Make your audience an offer they can’t refuse.  It has to be jam-packed with value and encourage them to act immediately, rather than taking the risk they won’t buy.  Personally, I can’t wait to get started.  Watch this space !!

Live or On-Demand Webinar? You Decide

Most of the time, when you hold a webinar it is going to be live. In fact, that’s pretty much the definition of a webinar – a live presentation that has attendees and a presenter. But there may be times where it makes more sense to record the webinar in advance without an audience present and then make it available on demand.

In this short post, I’ll consider the benefits and disadvantages of both of these styles of webinars.

Live Webinars

Live webinars are obviously the standard. Hosting a live webinar has a number of advantages including being able to instantly give information to your audience. This is important if they are working on something time sensitive or that would benefit them financially (such as when your information will help them improve their business).

In addition, when you host a live webinar, you can answer questions that your attendees have. This is obviously impossible in any sort of conventional sense when you do an on-demand webinar. Sometimes, an attendee will not understand a concept or idea that you present and answering their question will clear up their confusion.

Also, live webinars allow you to charge money. On-demand webinars can also be downloaded for a fee, but people are definitely willing to pay more for a live webinar. Generally, when someone pays the ticket price for the live webinar, you can then allow them to download the recording for free.

On-Demand Webinars

Webinars that are on-demand can also be advantageous. The disadvantage of holding a live webinar is that people who want to attend have to actually be available on the day and during the time that it is going on. Having an on-demand webinar can allow busy people to download it or view it at their leisure, which many will be able to appreciate.

Webinars on-demand also have the advantage of being able to edit them. Sometimes, no matter how well you prepare, something can be completely wrong. Technical issues can bring down a webinar and more than one presenter has reviewed their webinar recording and found that there was no audio or some other problem that made the webinar unusable.

Finally, webinars on demand can be filmed in segments. If you have an extremely busy schedule you will appreciate this feature. Sometimes, you are just too busy to host a webinar for three hours, not to mention all of the prep time. An on-demand webinar can solve this problem.

So, a fairly basic comparison between live or pre-recorded on demand but hopefully these points will help you understand the options a little better.

How to Make People Want to Pay for Your Webinar

Everyone wants to make money from their webinar. But it isn’t always easy to get people to pay for information, especially if they have come to expect it for free.

Depending upon the niche that you are in, and how good your information is, you might be able to charge people to attend your presentation. Here are some tips to make them willing to fork over a few bucks for your wisdom.

1. Make limited seating. If you are advertising to 35,000 people and you have done your research and can estimate that around 500 will sign up for a free webinar, then only sell 100 tickets. Make sure the ticket sales page is counting down every sale. When people see them going fast, they will sign up as not to miss out.

2. Create a professional promotional campaign. If you do advertising, make promotional videos, get other people to blog about your webinar and get the word out so that they see it wherever they go, your webinar will be worth the price of admission. This may cost a few bucks, but you will make it up with the amount you earn with the webinar.

3. Offer something for free. If people know they are going to get an amazing eBook or some other product or service, it makes the price of the webinar much more palatable.

4. Choose the right day and time. Remember, you are targeting working people – because they have the money to pay the ticket price. So, you want to make sure that you work around their schedule. A good window to shoot for is Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, anywhere after 2pm or 3pm.

5. Send value-building reminder emails. You need to remind, remind, remind. Start with 3 months away from your webinar and send an email every two weeks. The last month send a reminder email every week and then in the last week send two reminder emails. Remember, make sure you build value with each email and make them short and sweet so that people don’t unsubscribe from your list.

What about Free Webinars?

You don’t actually have to charge for your webinar if you don’t want to. Lots of people run their business by offering free webinars. But you have to have something for them to buy and your presentation should ensure that they have the information needed to make that decision.
